I needed to work on my graphic design skills. Been a while. This here is a homage to a favorite series of mine called "True detective" which has scarce information derived from the King in Yellow book found in different scenes of the series but never enough to satisfy that craving for closure and for solving the mystery. The UNKNOWN is a powerful agent when it comes to incorporating it in introspective journeys focused on self improvement. Especially when traversing through Nature. Nature. Reality. The nature of reality. The nature of "this reality". The infinite darkness surrounding the little rock we live on, and the uncertainty of it's trajectory. This, along with the idea of surrendering to the cosmic wonders and absolute horrors of the universe brings shivers down my spine.

Amy, a talented young actress and a beautiful individual.

In theater, the masks reflect the power of drama and the twin themes of joy and despair which constitute the human condition.
It is believed that early Greek theater evolved out of festivals to Dionysus (God of grape-harvest, winemaking, fertility, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, and theatre in ancient Greek religion and myth)

From a symbolic perspective the masks freed their wearers from conformity and hidden desires allowing people to express themselves without fear.

The twin genres represented by the masks are both intended to serve as a form of catharsis.
Comedy acts to deflate our preconceived notions and remind us how foolish we trully are
while tragedy permits us to grapple with dark realities such as death and failure, in a safe context.

The symbolic linking of the two masks emphasize both their common roots as drama and the complex depth of human experience.

 So much beauty in one picture. Here lies, suspended in time, a resistance to pain so strong, it defies belief. That is strength. Strength that is kindness and sensitivity. Strength that is both physical and emotional. That it comes from the body and the mind. And the Heart.

Paris in the fall..

Paris in the fall. The last month of the year and i spent a few day swith a good friend and had a great time. Good food, wine, vandalism, romance, coffees and croissants,  dancing, climbing, urban exploring and necrophilia (XD). I want to live only this kind of life.

La vie est belle. (Et je voux que ma vie soit aussi bonne)

The last photo really reminded me of Roy Batty, villain character of blade runner (was he really a villain though?)  All these moments will be lost, in time, like.. tears in rain...

A stroll in the woods with Blue..

Another walk in the woods. Should do these more often, with company or without, day or night. Spent some time there doing photos, playing some music and getting tips from Blue (the model depicted here-she is really good at growling and is in a black metal band, work in progress) on singing. Soon you will see me busking on the streets ;-). Heard some jams from her, trust me, she is INTENSE. 

Visiting nature can be very therapeutic. After all, we belong there.

APARTMENT A proudly presents IT IS WHAT IT IS part 2, a photography exhibition by Vasili Pham. He explores the human condition capturing instants of his own life, his moves. Our friends at BAB face everyday the extremes of helping human trapped beings. We really happy to help them fund their priceless wilful activity. BAB is a small NGO that works, also to help refugees, in ethnically and religiously divided areas in Bosnia Hercegovina.
