Say no to consumer culture
Hello. Its been a while.
Been a while since i let out my anger take a digital form resulting in the written and visual manifestation of this post.
I saw the poster above at a metro station near Louvre, Paris. The text on the girl's body "fem objet" is very evident, and is a strong (marked with ! ) reminder that this advertisement is fucking with our minds on a subconscious level. What is the connection between a pretty naked girl with a seductive gaze holding a glass of milk in her hand, and a (by the looks of it) expensive watch? I will let your imagination run wild here. Then think of the message.
Yet another time, sexuality has been packaged and used to promote another object that has been designed to make you want it through touching sensitive primal urges we all have deep inside of us, and in the end someone will end up buying it with the money that he/she has worked hard for. It is absurd how many people wilfully give away their life force (work=money=stuff) to satisfy needs they don’t have in the first place.
Go on, be a passive consumer. Be a part of the consumer culture. Rid yourself of the last tattered pieces of humanity you have left. As much as i like talking in this way and judging the rest of the world, i am well aware that i play a role in this scheme as well. I am a consumer victim, sometimes more than i would like to admit. It took me years to realize the obviousness of my predicament. However i do know that words have power and if you are reading this, consider trying to reject consumer culture as a means to recover a part of what probably is your true nature. Reclaim your individuality.
The photo bellow is from Paris as well, and when i saw these statues i thought "Hm, it looks like one of them is making a selfie". So there you go motherfuckers.
